Are you the parent of a young child with special needs? Do you want to take an active leadership role in the state of Vermont?
Children’s Integrated Services (CIS) which is part of the Department for Children and Families (DCF), Child Development Division (CDD) is currently recruiting parent and provider members for the Vermont Interagency Coordinating Council (VICC). We are looking for parents and public/private providers of CIS from all areas of the state. Parent and provider members of the VICC are highly valued and their input is necessary to inform plans for the statewide CIS Programs.
Regulations state that parents and providers make up at least 20% of the entire VICC. Your experiences are important, and we would like to hear from you. We invite and encourage you to join us on the VICC as your input will help to identify areas to improve Children's Integrated Services (CIS), and you can become part of the solution that will help all children with special needs and their families achieve their goals.
To serve on the VICC, parents must have a child who has or is currently receiving supports and services through the Children’s Integrated Services Programs and the child ideally should be younger than age 13.
